Here the animals can hide well and always find something to nibble on besides cover: On the porous surface of the handmade ceramic Nanotown preferentially bacteria and biofilms settle, which shrimps like very much. These microorganisms break down pollutants in the water and thus do a good service for the water quality. They actively support the degradation of nitrite and ammonium.
The top plate of the Nanotown is grooved. Here moss finds a good surface to grow on. You can either tie it on classically with a nylon or cotton thread, or attach it with superglue - please use only cyanoacrylate-based superglue for this!
