Taxiphyllum alternans Taiwan Moss - NatureHolic InVitro
The Taiwan Moss Taxiphyllum alternans, coming from Southeast Asia, looks similar to the Java Moss Taxiphyllum barbieri, but it is a bit softer and branches even more densely. Its fine triangular fronds look especially beautiful in the foreground and as greenery on the hardscape (i.e. on roots and stones).
NatureHolic Taiwan Moss is grown sterile in the laboratory in an invitro cup. Thanks to this method, the moss is guaranteed to be free of algae and algae spores, as well as pollutants, snails and parasites. Simply rinse off the nutrient solution. You can plant Invitro Moss directly into your aquarium without quarantine!
On the extremely large surface, which the finely branched Taiwan moss represents, filter bacteria can settle super, which help to break down organic water pollution. Shrimps will also always find something to graze on. For baby shrimps Taiwan moss is a great hiding place.
You can cultivate the Taiwan moss creeping on the ground (for this you tie it on flat stones or pads or glue it with a special plant glue) or you tie it on root branches and bigger stones or glue it there. With regular pruning the pads become dense and compact.
Taiwanmoss is easily propagated: The pads are divided, or the shoots, which fall anyway during pruning, are tied or glued back on.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth, we recommend the Premium Nutrient Soil for the new setup: NatureHolic GroundBooster
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue you stick this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
