Description

Vesicularia montagnei - NatureHolic InVitro

The well-known Christmas moss Vesicularia montagnei from Indonesia enchants with its relatively regular triangular shaped branched fronds, which look like fir branches. The German trivial name of this great aquarium moss is therefore also Christmas tree moss. The triangular moss fronds often grow somewhat downward curved.

NatureHolic Christmas Moss is a great moss for the foreground of your aquarium. It is also great for planting on roots and rocks in the middle ground to background. The aquarium moss has a vigorous appearance and grows into beautifully large, medium green dense pads. Regular trimming makes the pads grow especially beautiful and dense.

The NatureHolic Christmas Moss was grown sterile in an invitro cup. For this reason, the moss is free of algae, pollutants and parasites. Simply rinse off the nutrient solution and plant directly into your aquarium without quarantine!

To propagate Christmas Moss, simply divide the cushion in two. Cut fronds can also be reattached to roots or stones with nylon thread, or simply glue the moss on with our NatureHolic plant glue.

For a shrimp aquarium, Christmas moss is an especially great aquarium moss. The dense fronds trap edible particles, and it's also an ideal place for the important biofilms that shrimp love to eat. In addition, shrimp find good hiding places in the dense fronds of Chrismas moss.

Because Christmas moss is not a purely aquatic moss, you can also grow it super on the land part of an aquaterrarium or paludarium and even in a humid jungle terrarium.
