ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia actively lowers the pH of the aquarium water and stabilizes it in a slightly acidic range, which is very beneficial to most aquatic plants - hence it is also called active soil.

This allows aquarium plants to optimally absorb all the nutrients they need and thus thrive wonderfully. ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia is simply baked and retains its shape and density for a long time in the aquarium. The grain size allows for perfect water circulation in the substrate. Aqua Soil Amazonia from Aqua Design Amano remains stable under water for a long time. Even difficult to keep aquarium plants like Tonina can be cultivated very well in this Soil. The grain size is optimized for healthy and vigorous root growth.

The structure of this active Soil favors the development of beneficial soil bacteria in the aquarium, which break down pollutants and provide additional nutrients to the plants.

ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia is also perfect for aquarium inhabitants that need soft water in the aquarium. Apistogramma and various dwarf shrimp species from soft water like the water values, however, you should pay attention to a sufficiently long run-in period for dwarf shrimp - ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia is lushly pre-fertilized to give the plants in the aquarium a perfect start, so higher ammonium levels may be detectable in the aquarium water at the beginning.
