Crusta Igloo XL with Cladophora moss - Aquarium Hiding Place

The Crusta Igloo XL is handmade in Germany from dark brown fired clay and expertly bound with an overlay of Aegagropila linnaei, the algae from which the moss balls are. In this great, not at all small cave, not only freshly skinned but also somewhat larger shrimps find a nice hiding place, which is gladly accepted. The Crusta Igloo XL has a bottom plate, so it can also be used quite easily and stress-free to catch crayfish. Wait until your dwarf crayfish is sitting in the igloo, then simply remove it together with the crayfish from the aquarium and the animal can be transported without fear.

Thanks to the rough surface of the ceramic and of course the many fine threads of the Aegagroplia, the Crusta Igloo XL has an enormously large settlement surface for the useful, pollutant eliminating biofilms. Thus it makes an active contribution to clean, biologically perfect water.

The Crusta Igloo can of course also be used as a hiding place for smaller crabs in the water part of a crab terrarium.

When changing the water, you should carefully turn the house over and empty it out from time to time, so that not too much mulm can accumulate in it.
