To actively counter algae, the use of our peat pellets is excellent. These can be used in the aquarium and pond and help to contain unwanted algae growth. The main cause of this is often an overabundance of inorganic nutrients in combination with - in the pond - too much sunlight.

Peat pellets are used for natural water treatment and algae regulation in aqu ariums and garden ponds. The humic acids and tannins released evenly bind the excess nutrients and only gradually release them again in plant-available form. This gives the water a light amber hue, and also lowers the pH value to an acidic environment, thus additionally inhibiting the formation of algae.  The light water coloration reduces the light intensity in the water. In this way, the biological balance is stabilized again and the water becomes crystal clear.

With the practical net bag, the peat pellets can be easily used in the external filter. Simply place it in the filter in a place with a good flow. Before using the pellets for the first time, they should be briefly rinsed to remove any abrasion caused by transport. When using filter media, always measure your water values with a suitable test.
