Pogostemon helferi on lava rock.
The plant was found by Thai aquarists near the border with Burma. In Thailand they call it 'Daonoi' (little star), and not without reason. Pogostemon helferi is a peculiar and different aquarium plant with a compact growth of 5-10 cm, curled leaves and a beautiful and spectacular green color. Under good light conditions and with a nutrient-rich soil layer, Pogostemon helferi forms many side shoots on which small roots develop, allowing the plant to create impressive foreground vegetation in a short time.
