The home of this ornamental aquarium plant is the east coast of North America. There, the Hemianthus species grows on rocky or muddy bottoms along riverbanks. Its loose, upright habit and bright light green color give a fresh, spring-like impression. The plant can be easily cut back with the help of sharp scissors.
