With its pretty white quartz veins, the red striped burgundy is a great stone that looks great in the aquarium. Especially for the creation of impressive mountains, but also as a single splash of color, this sandstone is great. With just a few simple steps, it can be turned into an impressive new piece of jewelry.

The large surface also offers an ideal place for useful purification bacteria to settle. The activity of these bacteria promotes, among other things, the breakdown of pollutants in the aquarium and thus improves the water quality, but also dwarf shrimps like to eat the resulting biofilm.

Although Streifenburgunder is somewhat chalky, it actually gives off very little hardness to the water. This makes it ideal for use in aquascape, but also in other soft water aquariums. Thanks to its rough surface, it can also be planted with sessile plants Anubias, Bucephalandra and Mosses can be found in our store. Especially with small mosses you can create a great play area for your pets. Simply stick the moss onto the striped burgundy, from there it will simply continue to grow and can be cut into shape from time to time.

Note: Rinse the striped burgundy before first use in the aquarium to remove transport-related abrasion!
