The Nangi Spear Leaf Anubias sp. "Nangi" is a very rare hybrid of Anubias barteri var. nana and Anubias gilletii. The pretty dark green, slightly shiny leaves have an elongated tip. Between the leaf veins the leaves are slightly curved, which gives an interesting appearance.
Optimally this spear leaf is suitable in the foreground to middle ground of the aquarium. Anubias sp. "Nangi" is best grown sitting on roots or stones, simply tie the plant to the substrate. Be careful not to tighten the thread too much, so that the rootstock is not damaged! If an Anubias is planted in the ground, the rhizome may rot away. This should be avoided at all costs, as it would mean the death of the plant.
Anubias sp. "Nangi" still feels comfortable in the shade of taller plants or in low light.
Anubias have hard, bitter tasting leaves, which is why most herbivorous fish spare them, they are therefore also addressed as perch resistant.
Anubias sp. "Nangi" is easy to propagate by cutting a piece of the rootstock with at least two leaves on it with sharp scissors.
As an InVitro grown plant, this Nangi Anubias is absolutely free of pesticides under guarantee , it also does not bring any unwanted co-inhabitants like snails, planarians and so on. Therefore, this in vitro plant does not need to be watered first, it can go straight into the aquarium.
Anubias sp. "Nangi" can also be cultivated prima over water in a humid terrarium, paludarium or aquaterrarium.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth, we recommend the Premium Nutrient Substrate when setting up a new plant NatureHolic GroundBooster
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant adhesive stick this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
