Black Sakura shrimp are the lacquer black color variety of Neocaridina davidi. Egg-bearing females have 20 to 40 small yellow to brownish eggs under their abdomen, which they fan and preen for about 3-4 weeks. After the gestation period is over, fully developed young hatch from these eggs. Egg-bearing female Black Sakura should not be kept singly, yet they are ideal for increasing the recommended starting group of 10-15 shrimp in a short period of time and for increasing genetic diversity within the initial group.
For the small Black Sakuras we recommend the finely ground Natureholic Babyfeed, which provides them with everything they need to grow up healthy.
In our description of the "Black Sakura Shrimp" you will find more information about keeping, care and breeding of this beautiful black shrimp.
Our feed recommendation: The soft Mainfeed Softpads from NatureHolic are designed for daily feeding. They contain all the nutrients shrimp need for shell development, egg formation and growth. During the production we pay attention to a gentle and environmentally friendly production, in which the vitamins and other valuable ingredients are preserved as much as possible.
Our plant recommendation: Use for planting NatureHolic InVitros. These are free of snails, planaria and other unwanted co-inhabitants. Also free of algae spores, bacteria and fungi.
Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. The care set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.
