With the carrying females of the White Pearl shrimp (Neocaridina palmata) you can see very well where this shrimp gets its name from. The small white 20 to 40 eggs look like pearls under the abdomen of the females, which they nurse there for about three or four weeks until finished young hatch from them. Egg-bearing White Pearl shrimp are a good way to quickly turn a small group of shrimp into a larger group of shrimp; you also bring more genetic diversity to the initial group with the additional animals. The White Pearl Shrimp should not be kept alone; it feels more comfortable in a group and is also much less susceptible to stress in company. A group size of 10 to 15 animals is a good starting stock.
Natureholic baby food gives then the small shrimps a good start after hatching.
The detailed description of breeding and general hints for keeping the White Pearl can be found in the link to the main description of the "White Pearl Shrimp".
