CrayfishBull Shelter - Large Crayfish Hiding Place

The Crayfish Bull Shelter is something for the very large crayfish: in this hand-made cave large crayfish can hide wonderfully.

The hiding place is made and fired in Germany from brown water-neutral clay.

Hiding places are enormously important for crayfish, especially after a moult to harden in the protection of the cave. But also "just like that" crayfish like to hide from time to time to rest or just to have some distance to their aquarium mates. Especially egg-bearing females like to be able to retreat from time to time.

The open shape at the back allows the crayfish to escape from its place of refuge in case it gets visitors from stronger conspecifics. Through the windows the water can circulate well and there is no rotting in the cave. The lovingly designed surface structure makes the Crayfish Bull Shelter look very natural.

The beautifully designed surface makes it easy for moss or perching plants, for example, to get a foothold here. Thanks to the openings, the Crayfish Bull Shelter can be planted very easily with a thread and some moss. There is also plenty of room for bacteria to settle in biofilms . They cause a good water quality in the crayfish aquarium.
