The wavy-leaved water ear Aponogeton longiplumulosus comes from the northwest of Madagascar. It can reach a height of up to 60 cm in the aquarium. Its wavy leaf structure makes it a great eye-catcher as a specimen plant in large, tall aquariums, but it also adds nice textural accents in the background.
Aponogeton longiplumulosus originates from cool waters with strong currents. In the aquarium it retracts its leaves after some time and keeps a dormant period. The wavy-leaved water ear does not need to be taken out of the aquarium, but keeps its resting period in place.
The approximately 2 cm large tuber is placed in the aquarium so that it remains about half uncovered. There it will soon sprout its fabulously beautiful light green leaves.
