This green water lily originates from the central highlands of Sri Lanka. Due to its low growth height of only 5 - 10 cm it is the smallest species cultivated in aquaristics. It grows in dense colonies on the banks of fast-flowing rivers. Cryptocoryne parva grows very slowly and is also somewhat more demanding in care. Stronger lighting and CO2 additions are necessary. For nano cubes, the small water carnation is highly recommended. Even in the smallest cube with 10 L, the small fosterling has enough space.
