from over 3,000 reviews "C02: | without CO2 fertilization |
Type: | InVitro |
Basin placement: | Foreground |
Light requirements: | medium |
Growth rate: | medium |
Origin: | Australia |
Genus: | Eleocharis |
This particularly small variant of the dwarf needle l ime is scientifically called Eleocharis pusilla, but is sometimes also called Eleocharis parvula "Mini". This light green to medium green Australian grass plant for the foreground grows to a maximum height of 3-4 cm and is thus also quite suitable as a ground cover, not only for a nano aquarium. The stronger the light, the lower the curved green blades will stay.
Before planting, carefully rinse the roots of the InVitro grown portion of dwarf needle cress to remove the nutrient medium.
This will give you a variety of small plants, which you ideally place in the substrate with tweezers at some distance from each other.
Eleocharis parvula "Mini" reproduces by runners that quickly close the gaps and therefore forms a beautiful dense carpet very quickly. Propagation of the dwarf needle cress is also very easy by cutting off and replanting the runners.
Thanks to the cultivation method in the laboratory, this portion of miniature dwarf needle lime is not only free of worms, small crabs, snails and other co-inhabitants, but also absolutely free of pesticides and fertilizers.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the Premium Nutrient Substrate for new setups NatureHolic GroundBooster.
