The Greenscaping Osmo Royal Neocaridina - Aufhärtesalz for remineralization of osmosis water has a particularly low content of sodium and chloride. The mineral salt was specially developed for Neocaridina shrimps. It is ideal for Red Sakura and Blue Dream, Yellow Fire and Orange Sakura, White Pearl, Green Jade and Black Rili, and all other colorful Neocaridina dwarf shrimp. Greenscaping Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt enriches the water in the shrimp aquarium with all important minerals and trace elements.

After several years of intensive research, biochemists and other scientists were able to develop a special hardening salt for Neocaridina shr imp with a greatly reduced content of sodium and chloride compared to conventional salt mixtures for remineralizing aquarium water.

Because aquarium plants often react with slow growth and even tissue damage to high concentrations of sodium and chloride in the aquarium water, a low sodium and low chloride hardening salt is very interesting for plant aquaristics. Concentrations as low as 50 mg/l NaCl can cause damage and slower growth in more sensitive aquarium plants. More robust plants show these damages from concentrations of 100 mg/l NaCl and above.

Because conventional hardening salts usually use sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride in considerable quantities, their use can cause sodium ions and chloride ions to accumulate in large quantities in the aquarium water. Critical threshold levels are quickly reached as a result.

Greenscaping Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt, on the other hand, has a fundamentally different formulation and therefore does not impair plant growth even in high doses. After development, the hardening salt for Neocaridina was further improved and fine-tuned in close cooperation with experienced testers and breeders. This Mineral Hardening Salt for Neocaridina shrimp was put through its paces for more than 1 year in two of the largest invertebrate aquarium facilities in Germany, as well as by well-known aquascapers.

In the formulation of Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt, the magnesium content in the aquarium water is also taken into account and raised to 10 mg/l in the recommended dosage - magnesium is indispensable for significantly better plant growth. The calcium-magnesium-potassium ratio in Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt is 2:1:0.5 - an ideal ratio for all aquarium plants.

Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt increases the total hardness (GH) and the carbonate hardness (KH) in the ratio GH/KH: 2.0 to 1.0. Neocaridina need a certain carbonate hardness in the water of their aquarium to feel really well. The significant reduction of sodium and chloride content in Neocaridina Hardening Salt is important for the beauty and healthy growth of aquarium plants in the aquascape and planted aquarium.

Dosage: The source water (osmosis water, demineralized water from the demineralizer, filtered rainwater, ...) is remineralized with Osmo Royal Neocaridina Hardening Salt. 10 g per 100 l increase the carbonate hardness by 1.5 °dKH and the total hardness by 3 °dGH. One level teaspoon corresponds to approximately 5 g. Optimal target values for Neocaridina shrimps are: 4 °dKH, 8 °dGH and 300 +/- 50 µS/cm.
