With its pinnate leaves, Hygrophila pinnatifida looks particularly attractive in the aquarium. Originally, this beauty comes from India, where it is found mainly in streams of the coastal area in the west.

Hygrophila pinnatfida can be trimmed regularly, giving it a compact and bushy habit that makes it very attractive, especially in the middle ground. On the other hand, if it is not trimmed regularly, it will form straight stems with elongated leaves. In the background it also nicely breaks up the other plant colonies. If it is tied to roots or stones, it attaches itself with its rhizome and simply continues to grow there. With its green to reddish-brown leaves, it looks particularly decorative in the midst of other green aquatic plants.

It brings no stowaways such as snails, algae, germs, planarians or parasites and was cultivated without pesticides.
