Flame moss from the genus Taxiphyllum is not yet determined to species. Its spirally upright growing light green shoots are almost not branched at all and give this moss the impression of a light green lambent fire. Optimally, this moss can be staged on long and narrow branches where it can grow vertically upward.
Flame moss is not cut back so that the shoots are not encouraged to branch - the fire effect would be lost. Propagation is nevertheless child's play by dividing the pads.
The flame moss has strong adhesive organs and quickly gains a foothold on the substrate. Its new shoots creep along the substrate and quickly send up the lambent green flames.
Flame moss is also suitable for use in terrariums. However, over water it loses its tight upright growth.
Propagated under sterile conditions in the laboratory, InVitro Flame Moss does not bring algae or unwanted co-inhabitants, it is not treated with pesticides and can therefore be placed in the aquarium immediately and without quarantine after carefully rinsing off the transparent nutrient gel.
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue stick this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
