Hydrocotyle tripartita "Japan" is a very beautiful small pennywort, which is very effective in the foreground. The deeply incised leaves of this aquatic plant are somewhat reminiscent of clover, which is why the three-part p ennywort is also listed as a clover leaf.
The long shoots grow along the substrate, which is why Three-Piece Pennywort likes to be used as a ground cover plant in the foreground.
