Opuva Wood

Opuva Wood originates from Africa. The small and quite heavy root pieces can be perfectly decorated in the aquarium, whether as a new catfish cave or as a climbing garden for dwarf crayfish or dwarf shrimp - there are no limits to your imagination! The fine grain and great structure with partially deepened grooves and furrows give your piece of jewelry a very special look! Each root is unique and uniquely created by Mother Nature.

You can choose between two sizes of our Opuva Wood:

S: 16-24x10 cm (LxWxH)
M: 24-30x15 cm (LxWxH)

Opuva Wood is also excellent for scaping: in no time at all you can give your aquarium a completely new character by tying or gluing on Opuva Wood Moss on the Opuva Wood, which we carry in our store. But also with perching plants like Anubias, Bucephalandra or Java fern you create great little works of art. Also, several pieces of wood can be combined with each other and stacked cleverly. The great color looks particularly natural and ensures a harmonious and coherent appearance of your valuable aquarium. Also great: microorganisms soon settle on the rough surface, which contribute to good water hygiene. Especially invertebrates nibble this biofilm with passion.

The Opuva Wood has a rather high dead weight, so that it immediately sinks in the aquarium. It is possible that isolated pieces may still bleed out, but this can be prevented by pre-watering in a bucket with regular water changes.
