Pinto Mixer - Taiwan Bee - Caridina sp

The pinto mixers are created from Red & Black Bees - the cheapest way to build up a pinto strain in the shortest time. Size at delivery: 1.5-2 cm.

The parents are kept on active Soil at 250-300 microsiemens and 23 °C and successfully propagated.

To promote a high survival rate of the juveniles, we recommend the use of active Soil, which buffers the water values in an optimal range for Pintomischer, and Osmosis water as well as a Mineral saltwhich can be used to remineralize the osmosis water and make it ideal for the animals. Tap water is not suitable in the vast majority of cases.

As far as food is concerned, Pintomischer and their offspring are not particularly demanding. As omnivores, they readily accept brown autumn leaves , which they graze on. It can be left in the aquarium as permanent food. Other than that, Pintomischer like to eat mostly plant foods, but they should be fed a suitable protein food about twice a week to meet their protein needs.

In an aquarium in which the Pintomischer feel comfortable, the females carry about every six weeks twenty to forty eggs under the abdomen, from which hatch after three to four weeks fully developed young shrimp, which no longer need to be cared for by the parents. They are quite sedentary at the beginning and therefore need a Dust foodthat is distributed in the aquarium and thus ensures that the small shrimps are well cared for.

We recommend a species tank for selective breeding, possibly with snails. With other shrimp like bees, Taiwan shrimp and tiger shr imp the pintos can cross, which would not be desirable if you want to breed as many pintos as possible.
